Welcome to the Trees Water Carbon group. We aim to provide compelling information about how trees, water and carbon form a virtuous cycle for life. Trees capture carbon and produce oxygen. Forests produce water and harbour much of the world's biodiversity. There is a delicate balance between the interaction of trees, water and carbon which supports the diverse and rich life on earth that we must seek to preserve.
The Garnaut Climate Change Review was commissioned by Australia's State and Territory Governments on 30 April 2007. The Prime Minister of Australia has confirmed the participation of the Commonwealth Government in the Review. The Review will examine the impacts of climate change on the Australian economy, and recommend medium to long-term policies and policy frameworks to improve the prospects for sustainable prosperity. Submissions are due by 11 April 2008 on the following two issues papers:
